Samudra Adventures is Pondicherry’s first Native Dive Centre and has been operating since 2018. We organise and run dive trips to all the dive locations around Pondicherry. Whatever your budget or level of experience, we can find you a diving holiday that you will remember for a lifetime.

Our name says it all! Our dive masters and instructors have years of experience scuba diving and dive training in our beautiful Bay of Bengal waters. Whether you are new to diving or a veteran scuba diver, you’ll appreciate the professionalism at Samudra Adventures Pondicherry.
The Rescue Diver course as the most challenging, yet most rewarding course they’ve ever taken. Why? Because you learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed. During the course, you learn to become a better buddy by practicing problem solving skills until they become second nature. Plus, the course is just fun – it’s serious, but still allows for lots of laughter in between the focused learning.
Age: 12 years and above.
Prerequisite: Participants must be Advanced Open Water Diver certified or possess an equivalent SSI/CMAS/NAUI/IANTD/BSAC certification; and must have an up to date internationally recognized First Aid qualification completed within the last 24 months (You could do this with us with an EFR course).
It includes equipment rental, boat fees with snacks and water, certification and instructor fee
A dive professional certificate program is your first step into the world of professional diving. Join an elite group of divers at an international leadership level. The course, providing all pre-requisites are met, Internships are preferred and offered to deserving candidates.
Being a leadership level program, it requires a greater commitment and passion than the non-professional level ones. Each individual is different and so the course is customized to offer candidates the ideal training for the dive industry.
- Advanced Diver and Rescue Diver or equivalent SSI/CMAS/NAUIIANTD/BSAC certification
- Minimum age: 18 years
- A log of at least 40 scuba dives
- Completed EFR Primary and Secondary Care training (First Aid) within 24 months or its equivalent
- Medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 months
Dive Professional candidates are admitted to training by Samudra adventures staff only . The qualities we expect as a dive master candidate are as follows process is based on the following criteria:
- Dives logged (least +40 dives required)
- Medically fit
- Basic boat management
- Basic dive planning skills
If you want to be a scuba diver, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, “Discover Scuba Diving” is an ideal start. Get your feet wet with this introductory program that includes basic diving theory and a pool training session before your actual dive. The pool training session will allow you to get comfortable with your dive gear and being underwater,
When you complete your confined water training in pool the next day early morning (Time depends on weather and tide), we head to the harbour and load into our boat and head to the dive sites approximately the ride takes 30 to 40 minutes. Since we believe in safety first, your ocean dive will be approximately 30minutes and will be conducted under the direct supervision of a dive professional
